PocketFuelAthlete Nicklaus Combs just  ran the Hot Wild Oak Trail 100 Miler in Virginia, actually a 108 mile race this past October 4 and sent us this awesome blurb:

“I finished the wild oak trail 100 miler this past weekend. I hesitate to call this a race and rather it should be called an event. A 27 mile trail loop in the George Washington National Forest boasting an impressive 8,000 feet of elevation gain per loop. Run that four times and you have yourself 108 miles with 32,000 feet of elevation gain IF you don’t get lost out there. This event is a no entry fee, limited aid along the way, no nonsense ultra marathon that has been taking place since 1997. PocketFuel was key to my first finisher accomplishment where I crossed the finish line in 42 hours and 40 minutes. No stomach issues, no highs and lows from sugary race space food just real whole foods keeping me moving through the almost two days of nonstop running. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for what you all are doing. Keep cranking out these great products and you’ll keep me out there running.”

THEN he was written up in the Washingtonian Magazine’s Food Blog!! READ ON….
